  • 1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped cream (divided)
  • 2 large bananas
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2/3 cup sugar (for pudding)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust by mixing vanilla wafer crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a square pan.
  2. Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth; fold in half the whipped cream and spread over the crust.
  3. In a saucepan, whisk together milk, egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract over medium heat until thickened. Let cool slightly.
  4. Layer sliced bananas over the cream layer; pour warm pudding on top and finish with remaining whipped cream.
  5. Chill for at least one hour before serving.
