  • 16 ounces firm or extra-firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (or more to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the tofu dry and cut it into bite-sized pieces, placing them in a large bowl.
  3. Toss the tofu with olive oil, soy sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well coated.
  4. Spread the seasoned tofu on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 25 minutes or air fry for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Add BBQ sauce and toss gently to coat the tofu. Bake for an additional 5 minutes before serving.
