  • 1 tbsp each of chopped fresh thyme, rosemary, and sage
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 ¾ cups buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in herbs and cheese.
  2. Add buttermilk gradually until everything is mixed well.
  3. Gently knead the dough on a floured surface until it forms a ball; do not over-knead.
  4. Shape the dough into a 7-inch circle on a floured baking sheet. Score the top with a sharp knife.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes at 425°F, then lower temperature to 375°F and bake for another 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
