  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with chopped onion until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup with milk until smooth.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes followed by half of the beef mixture and half of the soup mixture. Repeat layers.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and cover with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
